2024-12-22When I was a kid growing up in rural Denmark I got into learning to program with Borland C++ on windows 95 and 98 and I was also into playing roller coaster tycoon (RCT) and plenty other games.
In this post I’ll try to go through my memories of reverse engineering the coaster file format of RCT while providing a re-implementation using Rust.
